Evanesce Predator Curiosity Lure –

A discussion with J.C. Conner from Newcomerstown, Ohio, yielded the birth of this amazing lure. He asked Kyle, "If you could have just one attractant, what would it be?" Kyle replied "beaver castor". After some further discussion, J.C. remarked that his mind was always changing between beaver castor, mink glands, and skunk essence. After much experimentation with several of these ingredients, Evanesce was formulated. A great lure to attract coyotes, fox, and bobcats wherever they are found. Guaranteed to meet your approval!

Hickory Creek ‘Coon Food Lure –

Named after a natural flow which runs it’s course through Will County, Illinois, Hickory Creek provided the Kaatz Bros. their first raccoon and beaver trapping experiences. Since those early days, it has continued to produce quantities of fur every year. Hickory Creek is a raccoon food lure that is a reliable asset for the fast-paced longliner. As a liquid lure, it’s ideal for a flip-top squirt bottle, and highly time efficient without compromising quality. Besides being a five-star coon lure, it works well as a changeup on coyotes at dirt holes, and a Wisconsin trapper recently bragged about Hickory Creek as a fisher attractant. Karac Coyote Gland Lure –

The most valuable asset to the coyote trapper--an aged, quality gland lure. Karac is formulated to significantly improve coyote trapping success will into the late winter and the breeding season. While coyote trapping, the Kaatz Bros. often benefit from the assistance of a trapline dog in locating natural territorial markers. Mud Road Muskrat Lure –

Urban expansion has hindered many trappers endeavors in the last few decades. Development of areas that were once wetland habitats prime for the muskrat, mink, and coon trapper, not to mention the waterfowl hunter, have been diminished greatly. One such location in Illinois, which provided many lessons for the Kaatz Bros, was a pair of small marshes tucked behind an industrial park, separated by a hard-packed mud road, hence the name of this lure. Mud Road is muskrat gland based and will definitely add more muskrats to your catch. A ‘must-have’ for the pocket set trapper, for coon and mink as well! A world class attractant!

Piledriver Mink Gland Lure –

“This lure will pile up mink faster than you can drive to pick ‘em up!” is what Kellen remarked when he formulated the original test batch. As the years have gone by, and the mink have been caught in the thousands, that remark couldn’t be more true. With a heavy mink gland base, this lure is great on the predator line also. A friend in Alaska once noted that Piledriver was the best mink lure he ever used , as it continued to produce at a frigid -40 degrees!

Plum River Call Lure –

From our offices here at the KBL headquarters, we can see the Plum River as it lazily flows along its haphazard course in northwestern Illinois, gently carving away at the exposed root systems of many old oaks. The Plum River provided Kyle and Kellen the opportunity to become the outdoorsmen that they are today! From muskrats to bobcats, Plum River is the ultimate in versatility! It’s the only lure we’ve found that should be used on beaver and otter one day, then used pocket setting mink and coon, and finally taking to the hills to catch bobcats.

Red King Fox Gland Lure –

Every morning as Kyle ran the Iowa road line in 2000, he watched a red fox sitting in a picked bean field. That red seemed to taunt him, "You're a coon trapper, I can sit back and relax!" For over a week Kyle met the fox in the field off King Street. When this lure was first formulated, it only seemed appropriate to name it Red King to pay homage to that red fox. A unique combination of loud, aged red fox glands and special passion ingredients make this lure priceless! Kellen swears by Red King for coyotes and bobcats as well!

Spotshot Bobcat Curiosity Lure –

A heavy, complex blend of bobcat calling ingredients easily smeared on a rock or wood backing. While trapping in New Mexico and Idaho, Kellen noticed that he was regularly taking coyotes on bobcat lures, but not as many bobcats accidentally with coyote lures. Yazoo Bob Bobcat Gland Lure –

Yazoo County, Mississippi holds many fantastic memories for the Kaatz Bros. Both caught their first bobcats there, amongst the many cotton fields and catfish ponds while developing this lure. A thick, bobcat gland base loaded with extras, including catnip. Confidently attract ‘cats wherever they are found, at any type of set. Yazoo Bob will also produce coyotes, fox, and coon. Beware: this lure is highly attractive to house cats as well, use your discretion.
